Clonoe O'Rahilly club notes

June 08, 2021

Last week's lotto numbers were 3, 14, 16 and 24. There were no jackpot winners, and no one matched 3 numbers. Next week's consolation prize is £100 with next week's jackpot £2000.  Anyone wishing to enter can do so by 7pm each Monday on https://www.klubfunder.com/Clubs/Clonoe%20ORahillys%20CLG/lotto

There was another busy week of fixtures for our teams this week. On Tuesday our Minor Girls started their league campaign when they travelled to Dungannon to play Aodh Ruadh. Aodh Ruadh got off to a strong start, but the Clonoe girls regrouped and in the second half put in a fine performance. By the end of the game, the result could have gone either way and unfortunately for our girls they just fell short at the final whistle on a score line of 5-08 to 3-12.  On Wednesday our u13 Boys welcomed Kildress to Páirc Uí Rathaille. Despite putting in a good performance, the young O'Rahilly's came out on the wrong side of the result. On Thursday our u17 Boys made the short journey to Annagher to play Coalisland Fianna. This was an exciting game of football with both teams battling until the final whistle. With crucial goals from Tommy Taggart and Ryan Quinn, Clonoe got the two points running out winners on a score line of 2-13 to 2-16. On Friday our Reserves and Seniors continued their League campaign when they played Edendork in O'Rahilly Park. Both teams picked up their first 2 points of the season winning comfortably in both games. On Saturday our u14 Girls played Omagh in the Semi Final of the Grade 1 League. Coming up against a strong Omagh team, the girls battled hard, but it wasn't to be our day. Despite the result, our u14 Girls should be proud of their performances throughout their League campaign. They now have their championship to prepare for against Carrickmore with a date and time to be confirmed. On Saturday our u15 Boys game against the Moy was postponed. On Sunday our u19 Boys played Moortown at home. This was a very enjoyable and entertaining game of football with Clonoe just being pipped at the final whistle on a score line of 2-15 to 4-10.
