ADULT FOOTBALL (Daoine Fásta)
Tyrone CCC made a proposal last week regarding the return of adult football. Adult leagues are to be divided into two groups of 8, offering a minimum of 7 competitive games to each participating team. The draw for the league phase will take place this week. Keep an eye on the Facebook page for up to date information.
A Covid Health Questionnaire for each person participating in Gaelic Games must be completed prior to the first occasion that they return to their club is now available.

SHOP LOCAL
Support Local Businesses.
As restrictions start to ease we encourage our members and friends to support local business as we try to recover from what was a devastating period for our local business community.
Urney GAA depend on local businesses for sponsorship, jerseys, prizes, etc... Let's get out and back into our local shops, bars and businesses.
Your help is greatly appreciated by everyone in the club and we would ask that you support our sponsors where possible.

FUNDRAISING AWARENESS
Back in 2018 Urney man Darren Campbell completed a 150 day trek along the Pacific coast trail in North America.
A few weeks ago he set off on another challenge this time with the hope to raise money for a charity very close to his heart.
Darren began yet another long distance hike but this time to raise as much funds and awareness as he possibly could for the Irish Cancer Society. He is currently hiking The Continental Divide Trail which stretches over 3,000 miles (4,800 km) between Mexico and Canada. Darren will pass through New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho and then Montana.
He will be doing this hike in the name of a great man, his cousin Eugen Campbell who sadly lost his battle with cancer back in 2018 while he was hiking The Pacific Crest Trail.
If you can, please support Darren and donate via

You can follow Darren's adventures on his YouTube page where he posts regular updates. You can tune in and see how he got on when he got stung almost 20 times by bee's or when he meets up with some colourful characters along the way.

So please if you can help and spread the word.
Good luck Darren from everyone at Urney St. Columba's

Check out the Urney Facebook page for more information.
Can all letters be left with Ciaran at Flanagan's shop by the end of June.
