Peter Casey kicked in the only goal as Limerick came from behind to defeat Tipperary by 1-28 to 0-25 in tonight’s Allianz Hurling League Division 1 semi-final at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.

Tipperary’s superior second quarter saw the points of Alan Tynan, Seamus Kennedy and Jason Forde (2) firing them towards a 0-16 to 0-12 half-time lead.

However, Limerick came racing out of the traps for the second-half and would be level within 10 minutes of the restart as Aaron Gillane, Cian Lynch and Tom Morrissey all firmly found their range.

The Munster champions would be 0-23 to 0-20 in front when Na Piarsaigh's Casey took a long ball into Tipp’s square and flicked it to the net (see below) in the 56th minute.

There was no coming back for the Premier men from there, as John Kiely’s team now look forward to a league final date against either Kilkenny or Cork, with the latter two set to face off tomorrow at Nowlan Park (4pm).
