Cavan are set to hand out a whopping ten debuts in Saturday's Allianz FL Division 2 opener against Clare.
The Breffni County have had to deal with a high number of defections from the squad for the 2018 season, leading manager Mattie McGleenan to name an inexperienced side for the trip to Ennis.
Making their first league starts are corner-backs Donal Monahan and David Phillips, wing-backs Darragh Kennedy and Oisin Kiernan, midfielder Jack Wharton, wing-forwards Enda Flanagan and David Brady and full-forward line trio Caoimhin O'Reilly, Bryan Magee (Cuchulainns) and Adrian Cole.
Dara McVeety was recently named captain by McGleenan and starts at centre-forward while ex-skipper Gearoid McKiernan is among the substitutes.
