Frank Browne has been named as the new Westmeath ladies football manager.
The Ballyhaunis clubman has a wealth of experience in inter-county management, having previously managed the Mayo ladies football and hurling teams, the Longford hurlers and the Dublin camogie team. He led the Mayo ladies to an All-Ireland senior final appearance in 2017, only to come up short against Dublin.
Browne replaces Roscommon’s Michael Finneran who stepped down after a disappointing second season in the Lake County, who will continue to ply their trade at intermediate level.
