The PwC GAA/GPA Player of the Month Award winners were announced at PwC’s offices in Dublin today. Dublin’s Con O’Callaghan and Kerry’s Sean O’Shea were rewarded in football respectively for their championship performances in August and September.
Uachtarán Cumann Lúthchleas Gael John Horan and GPA Chief Executive Paul Flynn joined Feargal O’Rourke, PwC Managing Partner in making today’s presentation.
Two goals by Con O’Callaghan in 37th and 46th minutes of a sustained and clinical attacking performance from Dublin in the All-Ireland semi-final all but ended Mayo’s championship hopes.
Meanwhile, Sean O’Shea has picked up a second PwC GAA/GPA award of the season after his free-scoring form has seen him pick up September’s award with an inspirational contribution for Kerry across both All-Ireland final matches where he scored a combined 15 points.
