Kerry and Cork will face off in the Munster MFC final for the third year-in-a-row following their respective semi-final wins over Tipperary and Clare last evening.

The neighbours will renew their rivalry next Monday after comfortably clearing the penultimate hurdle. Holders Kerry had nine different scorers as they eased to a 2-19 to 2-5 victory over Tipperary at FBD Semple Stadium. This was despite the best efforts of Charlie Walsh who accounted for 2-4 of the Tipp tally.

Walsh's first major on the stroke of half-time left just a point in it, 1-2 to 0-6, before the same player levelled from a free straight after the restart. But that was as good as it got for hosts as Kerry pulled away with goals from Jack Joy and substitute Éanna Murphy.

A strong start laid the foundations for Cork's 1-13 to 0-8 victory over Clare in Quilty.

Danny Miskella's goal helped them to a 1-5 to 0-0 lead after just 11 minutes. Sean Fennell scored the home side's only point of the half as they trailed by 0-1 to 1-7 at the break. Despite losing Aidan Weaver to a red card in the 22nd minute, the Banner outscored the opponents 0-7 to 0-6 in the second half, but had too much ground to make up.

Clare, as Darrel Darcy Cup winners, will now enter Tier 2 of the new All-Ireland series, while Tipp go into Tier 3.
