Jake Morris helped himself to a first-half hat-trick at Semple Stadium yesterday evening as Nenagh Eire Og trounced Thurles Sarsfields by 3-12 to 1-8 to secure their place in the Tipperary SHC semi-finals.
Remarkably, Sarsfields could only must one point for the entire first-half. Morris' goals parachuted Nenagh into an unassailable 3-7 to 0-1 interval lead.
The Tipperary forward netted twice inside the opening ten minutes and went on to score 3-3 before the break. Thurles improved in the second-half but left themselves far too much to do and lost Ronan Maher to a red card.
