Kiladangan have reached the Tipperary SHC semi-final stage for the second successive season after beating 13-man Toomevara 3-16 to 0-18 this afternoon.
Ultimately, it was Brian Lawlor's side's ability to score goals that proved decisive in the first of today's two quarter-finals at Semple Stadium. Thurles Sarsfields and Nenagh Eire Og will meet later this evening (throw-in 6pm).
Dan O’Meara netted in the first-half of injury-time to hand Kiladangan a 1-10 to 0-8 lead at the break. Further goals from Willie Connors and Joe Gallagher in the 34th and 39th minutes pushed them 3-12 to 0-14 ahead.
Despite the best efforts of the outstanding Jack Delaney, Toomevara were unable to reel in Kiladangan and their misery was compounded when Russell Quirke and Josh McCarthy both got sent off towards the end.
