Stephen Sheil will manage both the Sligo and Celbridge senior hurlers this year.

Celbridge have announced the appointment of the former Carlow hurler who managed Meath outfit Na Fianna last year and is attached to the St Joseph's club in Westmeath. He was also appointed Sligo manager on a two-year term last October.

The split-season allows Sheil to combine the Celbridge and Sligo roles.

"The Carlow native comes with lots of experience as both player and coach, and is the current Sligo county team manager," the Kildare club said in a Facebook post.
