U13 hurling notes

On Thursday night our hurlers played their last match in the group against near neighbours Killeedy / Tournafulla. Our boys were down a few players due to injuries and holidays. The boys started the game slowly with a few players playing in new positions took a while to settle. At the half time break our boys were ahead on a scoreline of 1-4 to 0-2 playing against the wind. With the breeze at the boys back started to get more into the game started to notch up a few scores. With our defence on top denying Killeedy/ Tournafulla one single score in the second half. When the final whistle blew the boys of Dromcollogher / Broadford finished on a scoreline of 2-10 to 0-3. The referee on the night was Michael Woulfe. It was great to see a good Dromcollogher/ Broadford support on the night for the team it gives the players a great lift. This victory gets the boys in to a county semi which will be played in September. This is a great achievement for this team for their hard work and dedication.
