Niall Scully came off the bench to strike a 54th minute goal as Dublin recorded their first win of this year’s Allianz Football League campaign at Roscommon’s expense.

It finished 1-19 to 1-12 at Croke Park, where Dessie Farrell’s men had only led by one (0-8 to 0-7) at half-time thanks to Brian Fenton’s points late in the half.

After the change of ends, the Dubs got motoring with scores from Con O’Callaghan, who tallied 0-7 throughout, Sean Bugler and Ross McGarry and, after being introduced in the 46th minute, sub Scully would finish off a slick team move to the Rossies net some eight minutes later (watch it below).

Davy Burke’s charges battled back and got their deficit down to five after Enda Smith’s 64th minute goal, but scores from O’Callaghan (2) and Fenton saw the All-Ireland champions win it by seven in the end.
