Glin GAA AGM

Due to the current restrictions, the annual AGM took place online this year before Christmas. There were many positives for us as a club going forward with our intermediate side making great progress this year to reach the County quarter final and many new fresh faces joined the panel. With a trojan effort this coming year and a bit of luck we have every chance of challenging for honours this summer.

All outgoing club officers were re-elected for the coming year with one personnel change. Nollaig Hogan steps down as Club Treasurer after a very successful period looking after our finances. We really appreciate the wonderful work she has done in the role and we wish her well. Jack Dunne will be taking over as Treasurer on a interim basis until a permanent successor is elected.

It was also decided at the AGM to resurrect the Junior B team once more after a few years in the wilderness. Up to about 5 years ago, we were very competitive at this grade and with the abundance of young talent that has come through recently at U21 level plus a few old dogs for the hard road, we are hopeful of entering both the West Junior B League and Championship. More details regarding the management team, fixtures etc. will follow over the next while.

Finally, we'd like to wish all our supporters and friends a peaceful and safe New Year.
