Our Minor Team had a good win on Monday against Kinnitty/ Naomh Brid in Kinnitty with a final score of 6-07 to 1-02. Well done girls!

U15 Semi-Final:

Very well done to our U15s who won well in their semi-final against Tullamore on Saturday evening. The game finished up 5-07 to 2-06 and our U15s will be competing in the U15 League Final in the coming weeks!

Senior B Final:

Our Senior Team lost out in their Senior B Final on Sunday due to a late St. Rynagh’s resurgence.

The first half was a very tight affair with neither Kilcormac/ Killoughey or St. Rynagh’s able to gain a substantial lead. St. Rynagh’s scored the first point from play and attempted to score their first goal. K/K full backline of Sarah Doherty, Eileen Bracken and Sarah Fitzgerald worked furiously to deny St. Rynagh’s any chance at goal. After 10 minutes, Debbie Flynn slotted over a free to give K/K their first score. St. Rynagh’s scored two more points from play with Debbie Flynn scoring her second free shortly after. After 25 minutes, full forward Emma Mulrooney picked up Debbie Flynn’s free, got past the St. Rynagh’s defence and found the back of the net. St. Rynagh’s finished the half with two more frees leaving the score at half-time, 1-02 to 0-05.

The second half started with a free from Debbie Flynn before goalie Carol Mahon caught a great ball denying St. Rynagh’s down the other end of the field. Five minutes into the second half, Emma Mulrooney struck the ball in from the half-forward line, and it swooped into the top of the net, giving K/K their second goal. St. Rynagh’s responded with three points of their own before Aideen Quinn received a pass from Grace Leonard and slotted it over the bar. In the last 15 minutes of the half, St. Rynagh’s kicked it into high gear and scored two goals in three minutes. Debbie Flynn scored another free and St. Rynagh’s scored two more points from play securing their win. The game finished up 2-05 to 2-10. It was an unfortunate end to an otherwise brilliant season of camogie for our Senior Team.
