Kinnitty Camogie Club Notes

November 15, 2021

The Kinnitty St Sinchills team that played in the Minor C Final

Under 11s

Our Under 11 girls brought their year to a close when they played their final blitz of 2021 in Carrig on Saturday morning.

The fixture we were scheduled to play in was cancelled so thank you to St Cillian's Camogie Club for allowing us to join in with their blitz at short notice.  The girls played against St Rynaghs and Naomh Brid and played some excellent camogie.  As that is their last action for the year we would like to thank their coaches, Donal, Teresa and Tony for all the work they have put in with the girls throughout the year.

Minors

Our Minor team played Tullamore in the Minor C Final in Killurin on Saturday in what was a repeat of last year's final.  While the girls put in their best performance of the year, unfortunately the result did not go our way with the girls losing on a score line of 2-10 to 1-7.  Thank you to girls coaches, Liam, Maggie and Liam for all the work they have put in with the girls.

Thank you

All our teams have now finished their training and matches for the year and as a result of that we would like to thank everyone that helped us throughout the year.  Thank you to our GAA club for the use of the pitch and facilities and working with us to ensure we were able to fulfill all our needs, especially in a year when matches needed to be completed in a condensed period of time.  We would also like to thank the parents of all our players for bringing the girls to training and matches and for the encouragement you given them, at training, matches and when they are practising at home.  Thank you also to our sponsors who have supported us financially at a time when businesses have been affected by restrictions.

Our club would not exist if it was not for all the fantastic volunteers that give up their time and energy to run our club and train and coach our girls, so to our wonderful coaches, we cannot thank you enough for everything you do for the girls.  Also, to our committee who run our club, to say thank you does not seem enough but we hope that you feel a sense of pride in the work you do when you see our girls laughing and smiling at training and every time you see our teams lining out on the pitch and wearing our jersey.

To those of you that have “double jobbed (or more)”, your dedication to our club does not go unnoticed so thank you so much.
