Kilcormac/Killoughey's Conor Mahon and Tullamore captain Paul McConway have been chosen as the Offaly Senior Hurler and Footballer of the Year respectively.

Mahon was outstanding as the double Ks retained the Sean Robbins Cup, while McConway's superb handling of Rhode dangerman Niall McNamee was a key factor in Tullamore's surprise Offaly SFC triumph, which was the club's 27th in all.

Another Kilcormac/Killoughey clubman, James Gorman, is the Intermediate Footballer of the Year, while the Intermediate Hurler recipient is Jamie McKeogh from Ballinamere. Stephen Keogh of Tullamore won the Junior Football award with Crinkle's David McEvoy honoured with the Junior Hurling award. Sean Ryan, also Crinkle, scoops the Handball award.

Brian Gavin, who took charge of the drawn All-Ireland hurling final between Clare and Cork, is the Hurling Referee of the Year, while Fergal Smith of Kilclonfert is the Football Referee of the Year. Entering the Hurling Hall of Fame is St. Rynagh's Paudge Mulhare, while Doon's Mick Ryan has been inducted into the Football Hall of Fame.

The annual awards ceremony will take place in the Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore on January 11.
