Aughnamullen GAA Club Notes

 

Lotto: The Lotto was to resume this Sunday night the 24th of January however due to the ongoing cases of Covid 19 in the community the committee has decided to postpone the lotto until Sunday 1st February. However this is subject to change and we hope that all our supporters adhere to the Public guidelines and together we can beat this. In the meantime you can still register on-line using this link https://t.co/oUNyNiKID8 . Jackpot will be starting at €5,000. The walking track will remain open, please adhere to HSE guidelines, all other facilities are to remain closed.  Support contacts are available on our Facebook page. 

 

Membership: Although the Football Season has not started yet in 2021 membership is now due. With Covid 19 Restrictions at present we are asking our club members to pay their yearly subscription this year online. For further information on how you can pay this please contact Club Treasurer Debbie on 0862760850 where she will explain how this is done. However if you wish not to pay online you can still pay your annual subscription by putting it into an envelope at the Social Centre. The Yearly subscriptions are as follows.

 

Senior Adult Player: €150 - This covers Gym Membership as well as costs for Players Insurance. All players membership must be paid before they are allowed to train otherwise they will not be covered if they receive an injury - GAA Rule from Pairc Ui Chrocaigh.

 

Student Adult Player: €100 - (This is for any U18 player who is on Adult Senior team but remains at Secondary school)

 

Adult (Non Player): €30

 

Adult (Non Player) Family - Maximum of 2 Adults €55

 

Social Membership: €25 or €50 per family ( Maximum of 2 Adults). This covers use of the Walking Track throughout the year and other Social Activities. If anyone wants to join just put your money into an envelope at the Social Centre or you can pay online.

 

Juvenile Membership: This covers any child up to Under 17 €25 per child

 

Family Membership in Relation to Juvenile -

3 Juveniles per family €65

4 Juveniles per family €85,

5 per family maximum €100.

 

This year the committee has decided to increase our juvenile rates the reasoning behind this is the club are hoping to appoint a part time Games Development (coaching) officer to come to help with training for our juvenile teams. However this comes as a cost and are hoping to have this Games Development(coaching) officer in from September.

 

Best Wishes: Best wishes is extended to Senior player Tiernan Duffy who has gone on his travels to Italy to further his education for a period of time. However Tiernan will be back in time for our championship season later in the year  

 

Fundraiser: Two local men Tony & Brendan Ward Tullynaegish are running 300k around our walking track throughout January in aid of Sosad Ireland. This is a wonderful initiative by the 2 local men and any donation would be greatly appreciated. You can donate using the following.

Aughnamullen Lights Up: Aughnamullen GAA lights up will again take place this year however due to the ongoing cases of Covid 19 and in the interest of health and safety to our local community the committee have decided to organise this from March.

 

Best Wishes: Local Cattle breeders the Lambe Family Formill and their Cow Ballytrain Red Rose 7th are up for Dairy Shorthorn Society milk in class competition. The competition remains open till the January 29th 

 

Sympathy: Sympathy is extended to Philip & Bridie Duffy & Family Cooltrimegish and Barry & Mary Duffy & Family on the death of Bridie's and Mary's father Peter Hughes Co Armagh may god have mercy on his soul.

Congratulations: Congratulations is extended to Brendan & Eileen(Fox) Loughran on the birth of a baby boy recently.

Ladies Football: This year Aughnamullen Ladies are celebrating 30th years as a club in February. They are asking if anyone has any pictures/videos from the years gone by they would love to see them. If you have can they send them to Aughnamullen Ladies GFC on Facebook or WhatsApp to 0872113887. It is hoped that the celebration can take place later in the year.

 

Video: If any person would have a copy of the video of the 1993 U14 Div 2 Final between Aughnamullen and Inniskeen. Could they let 0874634592 know as soon as possible. It would be very appreciated that someone would have a copy of it as its sentimental value to a number of people within our community and they are in great need for it thank you.
