Tyholland 0-11
Truagh are back in senior ranks for the 2014 season and at the first time of asking when they finished strongly to outstrip near neighbours
Tyholland in this very entertaining and at times exciting intermediate football championship final that was played in difficult conditions in Clontibret yesterday afternoon. At the end of a close first half during which the sides were level on seven occasions Truagh edged in front in stoppage time with a point from a free by Daniel McKenna to leave the half-time score Truagh 0-8 Tyholland 0-7. Truagh put in a good start to the second-half and by the seventh minute they had extended their lead to three points with the best Tyholland could achieve thereafter was getting it back to a two points margin three times with Truagh always able to respond any time Tyholland threatened and they closed the game out with a point by Paudie McKenna to leave three in it at the finish.
