What do you lads think about Menton and Keogan? Will they go for one last hurrah? I think both of them are crucial leaders for the younger lads, and not only that - Keogan is still arguably one of our best players, and Menton was also crucial for breaking ball and did well at 6 in the latter stages of the season. I feel as though Keogan is a powerhouse and might be up for one last year (he'd be guaranteed a remarkable 200 appearances in a Meath jersey if so), but I'm not sure about Menton. It's very easy to pick competitions, 1. All Ireland 2. Leinster 3.League Thats the way it always has been and on that basis Meath unfortunately have had a disappointing year, theres no doubt though that we are improving and im sure Robbie will have learnt allot more from this year then 2025, I expect more players to get game time next year during the league with the view of prioritising the championship and not minding if we get relegated, no one remembers poor league campaigns if a successful championship comes afterwards. I would be very surprised if Keogan retired at this stage - in fact, it's virtually certain he will continue on. I think Menton will give it one more year too, he's 34 but missed two seasons so is a relatively fresh 34. You would imagine they would both fancy a go at Div 1 football and another crack at Leinster. We need those lads to mentor the younger guys coming through. Will be interesting to see who can break into the match day 26.

I wouldn't be quite as certain regarding Keogan, considering he's the same age as Menton and has played 14 seasons in a row without any sort of interruption, but I do agree with you overall - I think he'll stay, and Menton probably will too. It would be interesting to see some of the u20s come through, such as Cian Commons. I'd say Jamie Murphy will get more game time during the League, and Smyth could be a consistent starter. We might also see consistent change in goalkeeper, and though I thought Seán Brennan really improved this year.
