Yeah you'd think Kilbride is prime location for a population surge given its location, and the fact the GAA clubs is centre to the community. But you'd have said the same about Clonee and while it has had the population increase, the people moving there didn't get involved in GAA. Now I know the whole St Paul's moving to the far side of Dunboyne didn't help, but population doesn't guarantee participation. The Navan clubs are feeling that right now. Ratoath for its size seem to be run shockingly poor. They just keep getting this half celebrity managers, throwing money at them hoping it'll somehow work. And they leave a year later. What a complete mess.

You are right there. They have far more talented players than any other 2 clubs in meath. They drop good players . Pick some passengers, and have lost 3 keegan cups in a row on the line. Bad decisions every year implies consistency. And that these managers are instructed by the same people. This year they wanted to win with their own and left the match winning Wallace on the line.

We can only wish to be run as well as NOM recently or St. Colmcilles or Donaghmore/Ashbourne who would be bigger. We can only compete at the highest level in Meath in both football and hurling, winning 5 senior titles out of 10 finals over both codes since 2019. Truly terrible.
