I understand the squad was trimmed by 10-15 players, is this correct ?

Hear several lads let go, nothing offical, original panel was quite large.

You would have thought they would be retained as they gave a full committment during the last 18 months.Only 2 games remaining (maximum). Not sure there is any upside to cutting those guys particularly after they contributed to a championship success.

I'm wondering are a lot of them part of the 2021 minor panel and so they are joining that team in their preparation for championship

Some tickets available for the Meath minor game this Saturday. Be great if we could get a crowd with a load of Meath people

Final pass especially in first half let us down, Two bad mistakes by Meath one after the other gave a very good Derry side the confidence to push on. Fair play to the lads never gave up and good to see some great fielding from Meath.

Thought we had a good chance in this , disappointed for the lads. Hopefully we can get a few stars for the future. And well done on winning Leinster

Frustrating game but no complaints Derry deserved it, thought the Conor Gray early injury was a massive blow, thought Billy Hogan was outstanding in goals, Sean Emmanuel and Adam McDonell had great games too

Derry deserved their win on their 2nd performance. I just thought looking at them in the 2nd half we had similar issues the senior team. Unable to dominate around the middle when the game was in the melting pot. Lacked cutting edge pace up front. Half forwards very slow to react to Hogans long kick outs. Hogan looks like Goalie we're craving for the last number of years. Time will tell.

No complaints, best team on the day won. Extended break took its toll with rusty performances against Offaly and Derry. We failed to take our chances in first half and Derry got rub of the green for goal. Pity we lost Conor Gray early on as that allowed Derry a stronger foothold in midfield.
