Round 2 of the Meath Senior, Intermediate, Junior A and Junior B football championship gets underway on Thursday.

Thursday: Fresh from their commanding performance against Simonstown, Dunshaughlin take on Donaghmore Ashbourne who lost out to Gaeil Colmcille in their opening round. Already without Ruairi Kinsella, the big question is how much will Richie Kealy’s men miss midfielder Conor Gray. ACL troubles have also struck Kilbride. Last years IFC winners will be without ace attacker Conor McWeeney in their round 2 clash with Rathkenny. Joey Farrelly’s men earned a share of the spoils against Dunboyne in round 1.

Ballinlough is the venue for the meeting of Ballivor and Oldcastle in the IFC. The north Meath side defeated last years finalists Castletown while a depleted Ballivor went down to Duleek Bellewstown.

Gibbstown plays host to Slane and St. Ultans in the JFC. Both won their opening rounds, the winner of this one could be well on their way to the knockout stages. Nobber will be looking to build on their second half comeback win over Moylagh in round 1 at Carnaross. They take on last years Junior B winners St. Mary’s, who struggled against Ballinlough in round 1.
