Dunderry Wolfe Tones 1-8

Dunderry took to the field in warm and sunny weather in Kilberry on Thursday evening for their first championship match of the season.

Dunderry got off to a strong start with an early goal from Ronan Healy and some excellent dead ball shooting from Daire O'Driscoll. Dunderry half back line and midfielders were dealing well with the Wolfe Tone long puck outs and linked well with the half toward line keeping the score board ticking over. Tones kept themselves in touch with a goal coming up to halftime leaving the score at 2-07 to 1-05 at the break.

Early goals at the start of the second half from the introduced Niall Darcy pushed Dunderry in to a comfortable lead. These were followed by some impressive point scoring from Dowdall, Brady, Cogan and McLoughlin ensuring a comfortable margin entering the last quarter.

Congrats to James Fegan and Cian O’Leary both minor players playing their first game at adult level also Rory McCormack making his adult debut. Excellent contributions from all players.
