The ongoing development of Thomas Coogan Park in Martry took another step forward at the weekend with the unveiling of a new LED scoreboard.

The new scoreboard was in operation as St Ultan’s hosted the Intermediate Football Championship opening-round clash between Clann na nGael and Drumbaragh at the redeveloped grounds.

Tom O’Reilly of Tara Steel & Engineering, who provided the scoreboard, was joined by his son Joe for the unveiling. Also present were St Ultan’s stalwarts Richie Brady, Pat English, Sean Boylan, Jim Fitzsimons and Dessie Murtagh.

The scoreboard is the latest addition to the facilities at Martry which was reopened 12-months ago following a complete redevelopment.
