Moynalty 2-14 Gaeil Colmcille 0-21 

It was heartbreak for Moynalty in Kilmainham last night. The Kells men edged out Moynalty by a singular point in what was a rollercoaster of a game. 

Moynalty started the better with Eoin Gilsenan opening the scoring immediately with a fisted point, followed up swiftly by a Danny Gorman point. Kells settled into the game and found scores of their own. Gorman added another along with Aaron Lynch with a tidy score after selling his man with a dummy, but Kells kept the scoreboard ticking and led by two points by the first water break. Kells found more momentum, adding six points before half time. Moynalty added points through Gorman and Lynch, while Eoin Gilsenan grabbed a goal just before halftime.

Danny Gorman continued to impress, grabbing the score of the game after beating two men near the sideline and cutting on off his left and sending it over to give Moynalty a boost. Callum Reilly was also influential in the second half adding three points of his own. While Odhran McMahon gave Moynalty an outlet with strong runs from centre back. 

Substitute Daire Conlon made an immediate impact, scoring a tidy goal under massive pressure. He found the net after his shot rattled the post and went in, much to the delight of the large Moynalty support. Kells however, were also impressive going forward, but it was Moynalty who led by three points at the second water break. 

Unfortunately, after the water break, Moynalty were held to a singular score, a nicely worked point scored by Jack Kavanagh. Brian Gilsenan made a vital goal line block to keep a clean sheet on the day. The Kells men pushed on and used the ball better when in possession, eventually winning the game by a point.
