The winners made the most of the elements and led 1-5 to 1-0 at the break. Bramble Sheridan gave Kill the perfect start, but Kiltale dominated the remainder of the opening half. Points from Oisín Byrne (2), Charlie Lydon (2), along with 1-1 from Ronan Donoghue, helped establish a seven-point cushion at the interval.
Kill had reduced the deficit to five by the midway point of the second half, but a crucial goal from substitute Ciara Bermingham proved vital for the eventual winners. Dylan Doherty added 1-2 to his tally in the closing stages, but Kill were unable to find the equaliser as Kiltale held on to claim the title.
After the game, John Byrne presented the Division 4 Hurling Cup to Kiltale joint captains Jamie Black and Charlie Lydon.
