June 11, 2026

Moynalty's Pauric O'Connor

Moynalty 2:13 St Colmcille’s 0:10

Moynalty made the long trip to Bettystown worth it yesterday morning, coming away with a nine point win.

Moynalty started strong with a well worked and early goal from John Brogan. Moynalty pinned in Colmcille’s early and added points through Ollie Sheridan and Bryan McCormack. An unfortunate injury to Jack Kavanagh seen him replaced by Ronan Lynch. A youthful St Colmcille’s side struggled to find their feet in the first half, and Pauric O’Connor grabbed a goal of his own to put Moynalty in a healthy lead at half time.

HT: Moynalty 2:07 St Colmcille’s 0:05

Moynalty survived a few scares in the second half, with Colmcille’s coming close with goal chances, however on this occasion Moynalty kept a clean sheet. A mixture of Moynalty beginning to slow down and St Colmcille’s introducing three substitutes swung the momentum in the Seasiders favour.

Ultimately Moynalty grinded out a win, with Substitute Eoin Gilsenan adding a score, and a brace of points from Paddy Byrne proving too much for Colmcille’s. Jude Gilsenan and Kian Lynch also made late appearances off the bench
