Castletown moved up to second place in division 3 with this 4 points victory over Dunderry played in Castletown on Saturday evening.

Castletown with the advantage of the wind led by two at the break with Darragh Kelly opening the scoring with a point from play followed by one for him from a free. Castletown net minder, Johnny Ginnitty, then converted a two pointer free and Killian Price hit a two pointer from play to Dunderrys 0-4 ( 3fs) to leave the home side up by 2 at the break.

Castletown kept it going in the second half against the elements with Darragh Kelly hitting 0-4 (3fs) and Johnny Ginnitty again with 0-3 from frees one two pointer. This was a vital win for Castletown who are understrength at this time  due to exams, holidays and injuries  this result  keeps them in the top four with a top of the table clash in round 9 against Slane in the coming week.
