Ballinlough 1-08
St Brigids 0-16

Round five of the League saw us travel to Ballinlough on Sunday morning to take on the home side.

A strong start from Brigids saw us race into a 0-06 to 0-00 lead by the eighteenth minute. The home side eventually settled and found their range in the twenty-fourth minute and notched two points in a row but we matched them before the break and grabbed two of our own to leave the halftime score reading 0-08 to 0-02 in our favour.

Ballinlough opened the scoring in the second period with a point but we put the next two minors over to move seven clear with forty minutes played. Ballinlough hit a purple patch of sorts in the fiftieth minute and hit four points unanswered. A point apiece from Fergal Ingram and Cian Blake seemed to settle us but it was short-lived as Ballinlough then hit a goal and a point to leave just the minimum between us with five minutes to play.

Cormac followed up with a free which was followed by a sweet two pointer from Cian Blake to push us out again to four ahead before Rory Collins wrapped up the scoring action with a point deep in injury time.

Another honest hardworking display from all the lads with Cormac Browne, Fergal Ingram and Dylan Scully leading the way for us today.
