In warm and sunny conditions on Sunday afternoon, O’Mahony’s made it three from three in the Div 3 league with a win over Louth side St Fechins, aided by three goals.
Tom Condon got on the scoresheet within thirty seconds, quickly followed by a Jack Flynn point. St Fechins responded with a point before O’Mahony’s stretched their lead with white flags from Killian Murphy, Dermot McKenna, Condon and Lorcan McDermott.
After three Murphy points, seven points separated the sides with nine minutes remaining. The visitors finished the half strongly, with four points while O’Mahony’s managed one from Murphy to leave four between the sides at the interval.

McDermott, Paddy Dillon and Jack McConnell extended O’Mahony’s lead with points before McConnell hit the first goal of the match. St Fechins responded with a point but Dillon swung the momentum back towards O’Mahony’s with a goal.
The sides exchanged points with the visitors scoring a free and McDermott and Condon splitting the posts from play. Murphy did likewise to leave thirteen points between the sides with twelve minutes remaining.
St Fechins hit a couple of frees before McDermott hit a goal. Points from McDermott, McCarthy and Jack Flynn saw out the game with O’Mahony’s comfortable winners in the end.
