O’Mahony’s made it three from three in the Div 4 HL on a sunny Friday evening on the Trim Road, beating Rathmolyon by a goal.

In a tight first half, O’Mahony’s were wasteful with a number of opportunities and hit a number of shots short or wide. Points from Finn Malone and Dermot McKenna kept the scoreboard ticking over for O’Mahony’s. A last gasp free on the cusp of half time was sent to the net by Darragh Connell to give O’Mahony’s a three point lead at the break.

There was never much between the sides, with the lead swapping hands several times in the second half. Brian Dunne and Diarmuid Collins added points, as did Killian Murphy to make it anyones game approaching the final few minutes. A Collins goal towards the end proved the decisive score and O’Mahony’s finished on top at the final whistle.
