April 20, 2026

Wolfe Tones Thomas O'Reilly

Bhulf Ton 1-17 Baile Átha Troim 0-18 in Pairc Baile Ghib

Bhi Bhulf Tón deich gcuilíni chun tosaigh go luath sa dara leath ach as sin amach d’éirigh le Baile Atha Troim ocht gcúilíní a fháil gan freagra. Bhi Bhulf Tón sé chuiliní chun tosaigh ag leath am. Ba iad scór dhá phointe ó Padraic Diamond  agus 1-3 ó Thomas O Reilly na buaicphointi sa chéad leath. Lean Bhulf Tón ar aghaidh tareis an briseadh le cic saor dhá phointe ó Caolan Ward, dhá chic saor ó Thomas Reilly agus cuilin ó Saran Ó Fionnagain chun bearna a bhaint amach.

Tones were wind assisted in an open entertaining first half with nothing between the teams until late in the first half. The highlights of the first half were a two pointer from Padraic Diamond and 1-3 from Thomas O'Reilly which included a beautiful left footed 2 pointer to put daylight between the teams in the run into half time. Tones’ goal came courtesy of an early ball from Kyle Moran which saw Fiachra Ward and O Reilly combine to set up the goal chance. Half time score: 1-11 to 0-8 for the home side.

Tones dominated possession the third quarter and pushed the lead out to 10 points 1 17 to 0 10 and seemed comfortable. However Trim hit 0 08 without reply to leave the issue in doubt right to the end. Tones held on to record their fourth straight victory. Influential midfielder Padraic had to retire injured and his presence was missed in the closing stages. Saran O Fionnagain made a welcome return from injury and his three points from play were invaluable.
