Drumbaragh 0-07 Moynalty 2-11
Moynalty ran out comfortable winners in their latest meeting with Drumbaragh, the second clash between the sides in just two days. Despite both teams making significant changes, the intensity remained high throughout.
Caoimhín Cussen opened the scoring with a well-taken point from the right, but Drumbaragh responded quickly with two points of their own. However, Moynalty soon took control, with Eanna Bennett once again delivering an outstanding performance. He struck for his first goal after reacting quickest to a high ball into the square, and added a second shortly after, putting Moynalty firmly in the driving seat. Christy Cahill rounded off the first-half scoring with a point, leaving Moynalty in a strong position at the break.

The hardworking Jude Gilsenan and the evergreen Christy Cahill added a further brace of points each to extend Moynalty’s lead even further. Moynalty then rang the changes, but it did little to stem the flow of attacks as they continued to dominate proceedings. Eanna Bennett rounded off his scoring with a close-range free, while Drumbaragh did create a few chances to reduce the deficit. However, Moynalty’s defence remained resolute throughout, refusing to allow any clear openings and making life difficult for the home side.
Richie Gilsenan then rounded off the proceedings with a rare but well-taken score to close out an impressive performance from the visitors
