Castletown 1-14 St Pats 2-9 

Castletown retained the Corn na Boinne title with this two point victory over St.Pats played in excellent conditions on Martry's re-developed pitch.

This really was a game of two halves with Castletown dominating the first period and leading by 1-8 to 1-1 at the break. Kevin Ross opened the scoring from a placed ball with Rian McConnell hitting a 2 pointer free and then a two pointer from play. With eleven minutes on the clock Adam Matthews hit a goal followed by points from play for Darragh Weldon, Rian McConnell, Daniel Moran and Kevin Ross to lead by  1-8 . It took St Pats until the 25th minute to register their first score a point from a free and a goal from a penalty award on 28 minutes. To leave it 1-8 to 1-1 to the eventual winners at the short whistle.

St Pats came out all guns blazing in the second half and changed personnel which improved their performance and eventual went into the lead in the 46th minute. But with Rian McConnell scoring four points a two pointer from play and another from a free and Kevin Ross with a free and one from play Castletown prevailed by two points. But with the last attack of the game St Pats hit the post twice and were awarded a penalty which was duely saved by Johnny Ginnitty for Castletown to regain the  Corn na Boinne.

Now Castletown concentrate on Div 3 of the league and next up is Kilbride.
