HS Meath Awards: IFC Team of the Year

December 31, 2025

Kilbride brought the fireworks to this years Intermediate Football Championship

At the start of the year not many had Kilbride on their list of potential Mattie McDonnell Cup winners but as the championship wore on it became clear that they were one of the teams to beat.

After a pulsating final Anthony Moyles men made the return to the senior grade for the first time since 1978. Their display against St. Michaels in the semifinal was one of the best seen at Pairc Tailteann for many years. Moynalvey showed great form in their group but came unstuck against a very good Castletown in the semifinal. Like Kilbride Justin Carry Lynch’s side were outstanding in that demolition of Moynalvey and only lost the one game all season, claiming the Division 4 FL and Corn na Boinne titles. St. Pats and Oldcastle made it to the quarter finals.
