A five star display from Ciaran Connolly set Drumbaragh up for a win in the third game of the day, the Boys Division 5 final. This was Drumbaragh’s first title since back to back wins in 2012 and 2013.

Conor Og Walsh gave the winners a great start with a goal. Connolly added a brace and Drumbaragh looked in control. Tommy Farrelly and Kilbeg had other ideas. The impressive midfielder kicked four first half points to leave just the two in it at the break 1-3 to 0-4.

Drumbaragh made a push for home in the opening ten minutes of the second half. Connolly registered 1-2 and along with a Joey Duignan point the boys in Navy and Yellow were eight points in front. Back came Kilbeg. Farrelly added 1-3 and a with minutes remaining the lead was down to four. Jake Kearney narrow that to a point with a fine goal but time ran out for the Kilbeg effort and Drumbaragh held on to claim the silverware.

After the game Kevin Higgins presented the Division 5 Cup to joint captains Charlie Megan and Rocco Farrell.
