Meath Hill 1-14 Moynalvey 0-12
Moynalvey made the trip to North Meath to take on Meath Hill in the last round of the league.
Moynalvey started the fastest and hit a two pointer on their first attack for the game’s opening score inside the first minute of play. Meath Hill responded with a free from Breslin soon after to tie the game.
Moynalvey capitalised on a breaking ball to chip over their second score, however Meath Hill hit four unanswered scores from the boot of Damien Turley, Gary Breslin and a two pointer from Cormac Sheehy to lead 0-6 to 0-3.
Moynalvey interrupted the Hills scoring spree briefly when they converted a free. An excellent save from Moynalvey ‘keeper denied Meath Hill a goal, but the home side’s goal did come after a smart team move saw Breslin blast to an empty net, leaving it 1-6 to 0-4.
Dominic Yorke kept Meath Hills lead intact with a fine stop from close range, Moynalvey scored the resulting 45.
Moynalvey outscored the Hill six points to one, a free coming from Breslin, in the final ten minutes of the half.

Meath Hill took the initiative, kicking the opening two scores of the second half being two pointers, the first from Gary Breslin and the second from Cormac Sheehy to lead by four, 1-11 to 0-10.
The Hill continue to extend their lead out to five with a Gary Breslin point. Moynalvey eventually got on the score board with a close range free after Meath Hill were penalised for not having three attackers up, making it 1-12 to 0-11.
Meath Hill added on a brace of points with corner back Peter Griffin raiding forward for a point, followed by a Jack McMahon score. Moynalvey’s second score of the second half and the game’s final score came in additional time with a free, meaning Meath Hill collected the two points on offer.
