As the clock approached thirty-nine minutes, Trim had added two further points to level matters once more. Rathkenny corner forward Noah Jenkinson added his fifth point of the afternoon to edge the hosts back in front. Two points in quick succession had the visitors back in front before Rathkenny sent to the net after excellent work by Robert Garry whose initial shot was well saved, but James O’Hare was quickest to react and send a follow up effort to the net. Noah Jenkinson then sent over a free on forty-eight minutes. Back came Trim again and they levelled matters with a penalty on fifty minutes. A pointed free put the visitors back in front with just over eight minutes of normal time remaining. Rathkenny then got a stranglehold on the game and had the next eight efforts on goal. Christy Meade saw an effort hit the posts before Jenkinson added a pointed free. After a 45 effort fell short and a follow up went wide Rathkenny sent over four in a row through Daniel Gavagan, Jeaic Timmons and two more from Noah Jenkinson.
