Kilbride recorded a comfortable win over Kilmainhamwood in this Division 5 Football League final played at Pairc Tailteann. PHOTOS

The winners took control of the game in the opening ten minutes. Ignas Tukaciauskiene got the scoreboard working and goals from Pierce Hayes and James Hall gave them a 3-4 to 0-0 lead after ten minutes. Kilmainhamwood’s first score came on the 17th minute, full forward Milo Stafford with a goal after a brilliant run. Hayes replied with his second goal a minute later and the boys in red and green went to the dressing room 3-4 to 1-0 in front. 

Goals from Killian McGivern and Kyle McKeever in the opening minutes of the second half killed this game as a contest. Credit to Kilmainhamwood they kept at it and were rewarded with a brace from Kieran Conlon and another goal from the impressive Stafford. Kilbride finished in style with goals from Harry O’Connor and substitute Finn Fitzgerald.

After the game Minor Board Chairman Ray Finnegan presented the Under 15 Division 5 FL cup to Kilbride captain Harry O’Connor.
