Drumconrath 1-8 Boardsmill 0-11

A late smash and grab rally gave visitors Drumconrath a deserving share of the spoils in Boardsmill.

After a close 1st when the sides were tied at 2 points each, Daniel Byrne & Oran Brady contributing the Drumconrath scores, Boardsmill took control notching 6 further points before the half ended as Drums replied with 2 Matthew Durnin points one from a well struck 45 to leave Boardsmill ahead by double scores 0-8 to 0-4.

An early Home side point seemed to indicate that they would push on for victory but 3 Drums points from Byrne left it 0-9 to 0-7 to the Blues as the 3rd quarter ended.

Boardsmill pushed on to led by 4 points with time almost up but wing back Oisin Reilly got forward to rattle the net and a late late Steven Crosby point gave Drumconrath a draw as they faced the long journey home.
