Oisin Keogh retains possession for Meath during the Leo Murphy Cup clash with Antrim at Skryne

Meath 2-19 Antrim 0-4

An outstanding first half display paved the way for this comfortable Meath win over a depleted Antrim side in round three of the Leo Murphy Cup played in ideal conditions at Fr. McManus Park Skryne.

The home side led 1-12 to 0-1 at the break. Eoghan Frayne accounted for 1-6 of that opening half tally while Alan Bowden 0-3, Oisin Keogh 0-2 and Liam Stafford completed the first half tally.

John McCarthy used seven subs in the second half but the Royals still dominated. Alan Bowden added three points early in the second half and when midfielder Conor Gray got in for his sides second goal midway through the half there was no way back for the visiting Saffrons.

Meath will have to wait until tomorrow when Tyrone and Down meet to see if they advance to the final.
