JFC Group B: Moylagh advance to quarter final

Moylagh 0-12 Carnaross 0-11

Played in Ballinlough in front of a big crowd on Friday evening .Moylagh came into this game knowing a draw or a win would be enough to advance them to the knockout stages.

Moylagh opened the scoring after thirty seconds through joe Meila followed by a Sean Reilly point,

Carnaross hit back with two points by the ten minute mark to level the game. Both teams traded points, Reilly again from a mark and Tommy Reilly from play leaving it 0-4 each entering the last ten minutes of of the first half.

Sean Reilly was causing havoc in the Carnaross defence every time the ball was played into the full forward line. Moylagh kicked three points from Reilly, Colm Fanning and the hard working Rory Gibney, to leave the hall time score Moylagh 0-7 Carnaross 0-5.

From the restart Moylagh worked a brilliant team score and Darren Gibney kicked a wonderfully point. A huge free from fifty Sean Reilly and a point from substitute Evan Manning gave Moylagh some breathing space, with the game entering stoppage time Moylagh lead by three points but with ten minutes of injury on the the clock.

Moylagh were forced to dig deep and grind out a hard fought win Rory Gibney kicking a point to Carnaross' three points in added time was enough to see out the game for Moylagh who advance too the knock out stages and sent Carnaross to a relegation play off.

Sean Reilly led the Moylagh charge from start to finish and was well  assisted by Sean Guirke, Darren Gibney, Shane Gibney Padraic Traynor , Sean Payton, Joe Meila and Niall McLarney
