Donaghmore Ashbourne had a point to spare over St. Colmcilles in the Division 1 final

The Minor Football League reached a conclusion (Division 6 still to be decided) last night a five venues across the county.

Donaghmore Ashbourne added to their Division 2 Cup title when overcoming St. Colmcilles by the bare minimum at Ardcath. The Moors led at the break 0-6 to 0-2 and only three points separated the teams with 20 minutes remaining when the winners were reduced to 14 men. The sides were level with five minutes left but points from Adam Doran and Michael O’Sullivan were enough to seal a great win for the men in Green and White.

An outstanding display from Jamie Murphy helped a very talented St. Pats side defeat Dunboyne in Kilbride. The winners led 3-9 to 0-6 at the break with Murphy helping himself to 2-8. The Stamullen outfit will more than hold their own in the Division 1 championship.

A very talented Slane side had too much for North Meath gaels in the Division 3 final in Castletown.

Over in Paddy O’Brien Park Duleek Bellewstown completed a memorable five days for the club when adding the Division 4 cup to the 2 Premier titles.

St. Ultans Cortown Gaels justified their favourites tag with five points to spare over Ballivor in Bective.
