Moylagh 2-16 Simonstown 2-15

Moylagh finished out their Div 3B League campaign with a win over Simonstown to finish top of the table ahead of a league final meeting with Kilbride next weekend.

Short of a few first team regulars the lads welcomed a few B team players into the fold and they fitted in very well. 

An early Simonstown goal was countered by a TJ Tully goal and points from Johnathan Francis, Steven Ward, Alan McCann, Sean Reilly, Tommy O’Reilly and Darren Gibney saw Moylagh take a 2 point lead into half time having played with the breeze. 

Half time Moylagh 1-8, Simonstown 1-6

Simonstown tagged on a number of scores at the start of the second half to build up a 3 point lead. To their credit, Moylagh fought back with points through TJ Tully, Darren Gibney, Sean Reilly and Tommy Melia to draw level going into the final minutes. 

A Simonstown goal with time almost up looked to have sealed the win, however an immediate Sean Reilly goal in response and a wonder point from Steven Ward from wide on the right sealed the win.
