Meath GAA Centre of Excellence granted €256,863

Dunganny - Meath GAA Centre of Excellence

There was some great news today for Meath GAA at the announcement of the sports capital grants.

The largest in the history of the state saw Dunganny Meath GAA Centre of Excellence allocated €256,863.

€126 million in grants were announced this morning and over 1,900 clubs and schools will benefit from them.

In a statement the Meath County Board said: 'This is a positive step in continuing our development of underage players as we plan to use the funding to add to our playing pitches in Dunganny'

The work on the fantastic facility on the Navan Trim road began in 2001 and was officially opened in 2015.

Castletown GFC (€150,000), Kilmessan HC (€148,355) and Balinabrackey GAA (€146,000) were among the biggest winners in the Meath club circuit.
