Cole steps down as Trim hurling manager

Meath camogie manager Neil Cole

Neil Cole has stepped down as manager of the Trim senior hurlers.

The former Rathmolyon star, who won a Jubilee Cup medal with the Village 25 years ago, led Trim to their first Meath SHC title in 19 years.

Trim defeated Ratoath in the delayed 2020 decider in thrilling fashion last August but went out of this years competition last Sunday after a semi final defeat to neighbours Kildalkey.

The club took to social media to thank Cole and his backroom team.

After 5 successful years at the helm our senior hurling manager, Neil Cole  has decided to step down. Neil and his management team have developed a strong group of young players that has seen Trim hurlers enjoy a return to the glory days, culminating in regaining the Jubilee Cup last August for the first time in 19 years.  Neil has also overseen many underage titles for the club, and we are fortunate that he will continue to coach and nurture the next generation of budding young Trim hurlers.

Mile buiochas duit a Neil, agus go n-éirí on bóthar leat.
