Kildalkey 2-08
Loughcrew Gaels /Gaeil Colmcille 1-07
This year's John West Féile na nGael has been a little different with Covid. Games were in the evening, midweek, culminating in the Division 1 Final in Boardsmill on Wednesday evening. Credit to Boardsmill for a well presented pitch.
The final had Kildalkey facing Loughcrew Gaels /Gaeil Colmcille in perfect conditions. The North Meath team had been victorious against Kildalkey in the curtain raiser for the competition on Monday evening.
The match was played to the spirit of the Feile and the score was level for much of the match. At half time, there were only 2 points in the game, with Kildalkey 1-04 and Loughcrew Gaels /Gaeil Colmcille on 1-02. The skill level from both teams was of the highest level. Kildalkey were able to take a 4 point lead at the end of the match with a well taken goal.
Every player in blue played their part for the team. This is not about individual players, it was a team performance that seen them over the line.
