Drumconrath traveled the long journey to high flying Boardsmill with the bare 15 players due to a number of injuries and work commitments.

The visitors put up a good battle and trailed by 2 points at the 1st water break 0-5 to 0-3 as  a Jamie Myles point was added to bt 2 from Daniel Byrne.

An early 2nd quarter goal from the home side proved their only score of that section as Drumconrath added 3 points as Oran Brady pointed twice and midfielder Tomas Conlon added another as the sides retired for the home with The ' Mill leading 1-5 to 0-6.

Conor Meegan (grandson of the Great Paddy Meegan) pointed his 1st adult score early in the 2nd half as Boardsmill, having introduced some fresh legs pointed 5 times to lead 1-10 to 0-7 at the 2nd water break.

A close final quarter ensued with Brady pointing again as Byrne fired over 3 more points, while the home side added 5 more points.
