A goal by the hosts that put 4 points between the teams just before the second half water break was the score that sealed victory.

Although Tones added three points to Seneschalstown’s one point thereafter, Tones search for a winning goal in the dying seconds proved fruitless and they returned home pointless. 

Tones had started brightly and were three points ahead after the opening minutes. The yellow furze side rallied and the match was level before Tones awoke from their slumber to regain a three point advantage. Seneschalstown’s first goal levelled the match and they followed up with 2 further points to Tone’s one to hold a one point interval lead on a 0  07 to 1  05 scoreline. Tones levelled with the opening score of the second half and there was nothing between the teams until that decisive goal at the end of the third quarter despite a late rally from the visitors.
