Six time Jubilee Cup winner Jackie McCormack passed away last Wednesday.

Trim GAA took to social media to pay tribute to one of their all time greats.

Jackie (John) McCormack sadly passed away on Wednesday last following a short illness.

Jackie was one of our all-time great hurlers.

He had the honour of winning 6 Senior Hurling Championship medals.

He was goalkeeper for all six championships including the famous 4 in a row team of 1954, 55, 56 and 57.

Jackie completed his sextet of medals by winning both the 1959 and ‘60 Championships.

Previously he had won a Minor Hurling Championship in the late 1940’s.

Jackie was always a true gentleman and never lost his love of Trim GAA Club.

We send our sincere condolences to his wife Maureen and extended family at this sad time.

Jackie’s Funeral Mass took place last Friday at St. Patrick's Church, Trim.
